What Is the DriveAbility Program?
The Stellantis DriveAbility Program helps provide reimbursements to eligible customers who require adaptive driver or passenger equipment for their new (or sometimes leased) vehicle manufactured by Stellantis. A Chrysler dealer in Erie, PAcan advise you on what is involved and how to qualify.
Types of Adaptive Equipment
There are several different types of adaptive equipment covered by the program. They all act as aids to drive, enter, exit and/or be transported safely in the specified vehicle. Below are the two most common:
- Running boards
- Alerting devices
The Stellantis DriveAbility Program covers a portion of the out-of-pocket expenses to install these two and other devices. The rebate comes to $1,000.
Whatever you decide to install, it must be done within 6 months of the purchase of the new car.
How to Qualify
Your Chrysler dealer can offer sound and accurate advice on where to find the forms. S/he may also be able to help you fill them in correctly. You must also sign it where indicated. You must also have the signatures of any of the two listed below:
- A mobility dealer
- A franchised FCA US dealer.
In many instances, a medical professional must provide a letter. The application form must be completed and set off within 60 days of the installation.
